• NPL situation summary — single loan, portfolio segment, or full portfolio in scope; loan type(s); collateral type(s); approximate UPB; current status (forbearance, default, special-servicing, foreclosure, bankruptcy).
• Analytical objective — workout-path recommendation, capital-impact analysis, regulatory-framework analysis, all of the above, or other.
• Timeline pressure — any deadline driving the engagement (maturity date, examination cycle, board-meeting date, foreclosure-sale date, bankruptcy-court date).
• Bank-side TPRM documentation requirements — community-bank-proportional, regional-bank-standard, or large-bank-formal; any specific bank-policy requirements that affect engagement structure.
• Engagement structure preference — fixed fee, hourly with cap, or hybrid.
• Confidentiality posture — any specific confidentiality requirements beyond standard bank-vendor confidentiality.
• Contact information — primary bank-side contact, secondary contact, and any bank legal-or-compliance contact who will need to review the engagement letter.
